Will it work on different Wi-Fi networks?
Sometimes. WebDrop uses WebRTC with STUN to try a direct connection. Restricted Wi-Fi, AP isolation, firewalls, and some mobile networks can block it. This version has no TURN relay: try a personal hotspot or a less restricted network if pairing fails.
How big can my files be?
Browsers with a save-to-disk picker can receive files as a stream. Other browsers, including many phones, receive in memory and are limited to 128 MiB per file here. Keep both pages open and devices awake. There is no resumable transfer after a disconnect.
What happens to my data?
Files and text travel over an encrypted WebRTC data channel, not our application server. Cloudflare handles temporary room and connection metadata. STUN services help discover network routes; your peer may learn your network address. See our privacy policy.
